Steak-umm® Cuban
- 9 oz. box Steak-umm® Cuban Style Seasoned Sliced Steaks
- 1 loaf Cuban bread (opt. French baguette or Italian bread)
- ¼ cup yellow mustard
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 2 slices Swiss cheese
- 8 dill pickle slices
- 4 slices ham
- Cooking spray
- Cook Steak-umm Sweet & Zesty Cuban steaks according to directions on the box. Set aside.
- Preheat panini press or cast-iron griddle to medium heat.
- Cut the loaf of bread into quarters and slice horizontally.
- Spread mustard on one slice of bread and mayo on the other slice. Repeat for all sandwich quarters.
- Assemble each sandwich by layering the Sweet & Zesty Cuban steaks, ham, cheese, and dill pickles.
- Spray panini press or cast-iron griddle with cooking spray. Place the sandwich on the hot surface (however many will fit at one time).
- Press the sandwich in the panini press. If using a griddle, place a heavy skillet on top of the sandwich and compress it. Grill for 2-3 minutes.
- Flip the sandwich over, press, and grill for a couple more minutes until the cheese has melted. Repeat the process for any remaining sandwiches.
- Cut sandwiches diagonally and enjoy!
NOTES
- If you do not have a panini press or griddle, a regular skillet will work. The bread will still get nice and toasty but will not have the signature grill marks.
