Beef Fried Rice
@platesbykody
Ingredients
- 4 Steak-umm sheets, chopped
- 2 cups leftover rice (day-old preferred)
- 1 yellow bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup broccoli florets, chopped small
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 scallions, sliced (separate whites and greens)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add chopped Steak-umm sheets and cook until browned. The natural grease will render out–no extra oil needed.
- Add garlic and scallion whites directly into the pan. Stir until fragrant.
- Add broccoli and bell peppers. Cook for 3-4 minutes, letting them soften in the beef fat.
- Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Toss everything together to coat.
- Stir-fry until everything is evenly combined and heated through.
- Taste and adjust with salt and pepper if needed
- Finish with scallion greens on top and serve hot.
