Mini Steak Tacos

Ingredients
*Makes 10 tacos
- 2 boxes of Steak-ummm sliced steaks (10 slices)
- ⅓ cup onions chopped
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp – 1 tsp chipotle chili powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Street taco flour tortillas
- Your favorite pico de gallo
- 10 oz of oaxaca cheese, shredded
Avocado salsa:
- ½ of an avocado
- Handful of cilantro
- 1 jalapeno, deseeded
- 2 garlic cloves
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Small chunk of a white onion
- ¼ cup of water, plus more as needed
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth, adding more water as needed to reach your desired consistency. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed and refrigerate.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and drizzle in a little neutral oil. Sauté the onion for 1-2 minutes until slightly softened. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add the Steak-umm to the skillet. Using a spatula, chop it up as it cooks. Season with salt, garlic powder, onion powder, chipotle chili powder and black pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked and well combined, about 8-10 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly coat with neutral oil. Place a tortilla in the skillet and sprinkle cheese over one half. Add a layer of the Steak-umm then top with more cheese.
- Carefully fold the taco in half, and cook until both sides are crispy and golden brown.
- Serve with avocado salsa and pico de gallo.
