Chicken French Bread Pizza

Ingredients
- 2 packs Steak-umm® Sliced Chicken Steaks
- 1 1/2 cups total BBQ pizza sauce (equal parts marinara sauce and BBQ sauce, plus 1 tbsp Italian seasoning)
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- French bread, halved
- 2–3 tbsp melted butter
- Garlic and herb seasoning, to taste
- Finely shredded mozzarella cheese, for sprinkling
- Thinly sliced red onions
- Jalapeño wheels (optional)
- Fresh cilantro leaves, for topping
Instructions
- Prepare the Sauce: In a bowl, mix equal parts of your favorite marinara sauce and BBQ sauce. Stir in 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning. Set aside.
- Cook the Steak-umm: In a skillet, brown and chop the 2 packs of Steak-umm® Sliced Chicken Steaks with 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning and 2 tablespoons olive oil. Cook until heated through and slightly browned, then set aside.
- Prepare the Bread: Carefully slice the French bread in half and brush generously with melted butter mixed with garlic and herb seasoning. Sprinkle a light layer of finely shredded mozzarella cheese on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) until the cheese melts and the bread is lightly browned, approximately 4–6 minutes.
- Assemble the Pizza: Spread an even coat of the BBQ pizza sauce on both halves of the bread. Top with the cooked Steak-umm mixture, thinly sliced red onions, additional shredded mozzarella, and jalapeño wheels, if using.
- Bake the Pizza: Place the assembled pizza on a lined cookie sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) until golden brown, about 13–15 minutes.
- Finish and Serve: Top with fresh cilantro leaves. Slice, serve with leftover pizza sauce, and enjoy!
