Steak-umm
Chinese Pepper Steak

Ingredients:

• 1 7-ct box Steak-umm Sliced Steaks
• non-stick cooking spray
• 1/2 cup chopped onion
• one or two garlic cloves
• one 14oz can of diced tomatoes, drained
• 1/2 package of frozen stir-fry peppers
• 1 cup of beef broth
• 5 tsp cornstarch
• 3 Tbs soy sauce
• 1/3 cup water

Instructions:

Spray a large skillet with non-stick cooking spray. Using all seven steaks from the package, break them into bite-size pieces and add to the skillet. Over medium-high heat, cook the steaks until brown. Remove the steaks from the skillet and place in a covered bowl to keep warm. In the same skillet, add onion and garlic; cook, stirring frequently until onion starts to brown. Add the frozen stir-fry peppers, tomatoes and beef broth. Add the cooked steaks. Lower heat, cover and allow to simmer for about ten minutes, stirring occasionally. Mix the cornstarch, soy sauce, pepper and water and stir until the mixture thickens slightly and is hot and bubbly (about three minutes). Serve hot. Serves four.
