Beef Strip Stir-Fry
Ingredients:
• 1/2 lb Steak-umm
Sliced Steaks, cut into 1" x 2-1/2" strips
• 1 medium
onion, chopped
• 1 medium green pepper, chopped
• 1 large
tomato, cut into 8 wedges
• MARINADE: 2 tsp soy sauce or teriyaki;
2 tsp cornstarch; 1 tsp sugar; Mix well
• SAUCE: 1 cup water; 1 tbsp
cornstarch; 2 tbsp catsup; 2 tbsp sugar
Instructions:
Marinate beef strips. Prepare sauce. Cut up vegetables.
Heat wok. Stir-fry beef strips, remove and set aside. Stir-fry onion
and green pepper until crisp. Add sauce to the vegetables, bring
to a boil. When sauce thickens, add tomato wedges and reserved beef
strips. Serve over rice or Chinese noodles.
This steak mixture is also very good as taco filling.
Fill tacos with steak mixture and top with shredded lettuce, chopped
onions, chopped tomatoes, sliced ripe olives and grated cheddar cheese. |
